Download Manager Gold can download several files and file segments simultaneously, pause and resume downloads with a single click. We also tried to keep the graphic user interface simple so it would be easy to use. It has options to take over downloads from Internet Explorer and shows a download dialog where you can control your downloads. Download Manager Gold accelerates downloads with file segmentation. It uses separate connection for every segment, which allows to significantly speed up downloads in most cases. Support for HTTP, FTP, and HTTPS protocols.

Pros
Made download of a very large file easy and quick. The program takes the reins, making use effortless. It's not annoying like a lot of other downloaders. It's free.

I really haven't seen any yet.
Summary
My download was large and with Download Manger Gold the process went like clockwork. The file was right there listed so I didn't have to go hunting for it.

Very simple interface. I like it except for the cons.
Cons
Doesn't recognize media share redirects. Doesn't have a right-click> open containing folder. Despite seemingly allowing custom install location (I only want OS on C drive), no matter what you put in the box, it will only install in the default location. Will not work at all and will not allow IE to download anything, when not installed to default location. Have to reinstall. Does not come with an uninstaller, nor does it work with control panel > uninstall programs. Need to redownload then run the setup to uninstall.
Summary
If they could fix those problems... but considering it's 4 years old, I doubt they will.
Finally a downloader that is easy to use. GREAT!

I was looking for a boost in download time and this is the product for me... I'd tried others, but this product is easy to use and lives up to what it hypes.... I highly recommend that others give this a try even if your skeptical....

I just started using this software... that's my con... I was using competitors products and wasting valuable time. Time is money you know...

-Super fast Download Speed, I'ts fluctuating. overspeeds like it's a freak. -Simple interface, simple commands, simple is good. -Lightweight and fast loading. -Free. That's what people want, right?

-Maybe too simple, some people like more eyecandy. -Somewhat, I have a feeling that this software would have it's price-tag soon.
Summary
Thing is the next big thing, could be compared to an Apple product if it follows some of it's strategies. If you've been thrilled by the way you first used IDM on it's earlier days, this baby here won't disappoint. Good work and Appreciate this genius piece of work you've made.

The program automatically captures each file to download (installable programs or other things). We need nothing to do that clic on the link! For faster downloading, it divided into segments the files that are downloading. It has two additional programs very useful. The first for any speed up downloads, and the other allows you to download videos from yoytube and other similar sites.

Nothing cons at all for this product.

I strongly recommand this downloader to all users. This program is very complete.
