View and change any folder icons.

Allows to change icons of the chosen folder to any chosen by you. And even at connection of a hard disk to other computer of an icon will remain such what they were made by you. You can change an icon of any folder, with any method which is pleasant to you more. Through context menu with preliminary viewing the image. Through dialog, also with preliminary viewing the image. You can choose a icon-theme for context menu. Before installation of version Folderico remove all the previous versions Folderico.

Version 3.7 adds feature to install themes in Explorer menu.

Great concept.
Cons
This is an older version of the product. The latest version, 4.x, adds the utility to the right-click options. This version requires you to open the app itself. 4.x is not available through cnet, unfortunately. Instead, you must go through some third party I've never heard of and open accounts with who knows who. Ain't gonna do that.
Summary
If you want to play, go to the manufacturer's website and try not to get stung. It's freeware but is it really worth the risk of having to play with unknown third-party providers? I'll try a different option, thank you very much.

None that I can see.
Cons
The program is supposed to replace icons. Maybe I read it wrong, but when opened all the icons that can be changed are 4 each for Windows XP, Vista, Aero and Apple. No other ones. And they are just 4 colors. Very disappointing at the least.
Summary
If you are looking to replace icons, you would do better with collections online, or make yourself with programs like IcoFX.
Great visual to easily spot the folders you often use.

A smart organizing tool.
Cons
It does folders only (as touted), I'd like to color up main headings too, but it is called "Folderico" ! It's simple and does what its supposed to do.
Summary
No need for document folders to be out of hand. Simply "color-up" the folders you use often to easily spot where you want to go. Best for those who use Explore (Windows key/E) to see entire content outline.

The changed icons seem to have a delay before appearing.

Good solid product. Does what it says.
Folderico is a good program for organizing folders.

Pros
I like the selection of style and colors which enable you to quickly find the folder you are looking for.
Cons
Actually, there is nothing that I dislike about Folderico.
Summary
Before installing Folderico I sometimes had trouble locating a particular folder, but with Folderico's various styles and colors everything is easier to find much more quickly.

few choices and few great looks of folders under each set style (vista, xp, etc.)...hey, it's free!
